This stop provides a view of the Valley framed on the left by El Capitan and on the right by Cathedral Rocks and Bridalveil Fall.

Just a historical note...

Back when Northside Drive was still a two-way, two-lane road (pre-1970), this was the first grand view from the Yosemite Valley floor that greeted park vistors that entered Yosemite Valley via Hwy 140 or the Big Oak Flat Road (Hwy 120).

One of my absolute favorite Valley spots (when the Alligator tram isn't there).
