Bridalveil from Crocker Point along the Pohono Trail. I don't recall ever seeing this view of Bridalveil, though I'm sure pictures must exit (yeah, I know this will probably elicit dozens of similar images from fellow Yosemite forum members)



Familiar scene without the crowd. I took this along an old road that connects the Pohono with the Valley.

One of the things I like about views of the Valley from along the Old Wawona Road down from IP is that the angle is just different enough from Tunnel View that, besides all the familiar stuff, you can also see Royal Arches/Washington Column/North Dome.

Nice shots...glad you enjoyed the hike...Pohono's one of my favorite trails in or close to the Valley.

Must be a different edition...the cover on my copy of Schaffer has a picture of folks going up the Mist Trail next to Nevada Fall.

Ha! I knew that comment would get a response. Of course, everything in Yosemite has been photographed to death. I was just stunned, though when I came upon it, since I hadn't seen it before.

Ok, you made my head hurt.

The negative is flipped on your "Taft Pt." photo.
It's taken from between the trl. junction and
Sentinel Creek. Prob. about 1.5 miles from Taft.
That's Sentinel Rock with Yosemite Falls ...
in the alternate universe.
