The Meadow Fire is being managed with a Type 3 organization and two wildland fire modules. The crews are spiked out near the fire perimeter. The fire is at 4, 772 acres. The strategy is to continue to confine and contain the fire perimeter, monitor the fire and utilize Minimum Impact Suppression Tactics (MIST) tactics and natural barriers as needed.

Air quality has improved, however smoke may continue to be visible through the coming days. At the higher elevations smoke from the Lembert and Cathedral fires was also visible due to windy conditions at ridge tops. The entire region is experiencing smoke and hazy conditions from numerous fires statewide, including the communities of Oakhurst, Pollack Pines and Weed. Thunderstorms and light rain are predicted today.

The access to Half Dome remains open, and the Little Yosemite Valley campground is open.
