You were there Saturday???

Our friends went to Mist Falls on Sunday, but I was out and about when they left camp, and I haven't heard their story yet... I'm working on getting back out there tomorrow.

Saturday the guys did Sphinx Creek towards Avalanche Pass...

Did you by chance find a camera at the Road's End parking lot, near the trailhead for the River Trail? or beyond? There was a brain-fade Friday afternoon when they got back to the car... sigh...

Sunday, the guys went up Lewis Creek as far as they could go, then back along Hotel Creek so they could grab ice creams (again)... Sigh..

I am still gimpy, so I walked with my friends and their kids. Which was TOTALLY FUN!!! hehehe.

How was Sphinx Creek? I'm headed up there next week. Were the mosquitoes bad?

Mosquitoes were starting in Cedar Grove... getting progressively worse... it seemed...
Little black flies are the annoying things though... the sandpit trail to Bubbs / Woods was
still in good shape... and the black flies were almost non existent... so
it was perfect conditions imo...
And The Sphinx Creek Trail was pure joy. Beyond cool. Loved it. Loved the switchbacks
and the trail work and the views to Charlotte Dome and The Sphix and the Creek and
South Fork and everything...
We went up to the crossing of Sphinx Creek... at this point it was nearly 100% snow coverage.
And we would have had to ford Sphinx Creek... so we turned around.
Figure "winter conditions" beyond there.
