Epic Yosemite peak bagging trip

I'm not much of a peak bagger...ok, I don't bag peaks at all, but this report is interesting. Especially day 1 (Chick-On will understand)

A 45 lb pack from TM to Vogelsang ? I did that, once, when I first started backpacking. I almost bailed when we hit the switch backs on the Rafferty Creek trail. My son had to remind me we came 3000 miles to do this and we ain't giving up so early. We made it, in the middle of a T-storm (with hail, of course), and had to set up camp in the rain. What an introduction to the Sierra!

Jeez, that's impressive. I hope the TrailQuest folks realize that this is now an unofficial trail
