That would be me at Mather Pass last
year on a loop out of Cedar Grove, King Canyon N.P.
It was a long trip up Paradise Valley, then over Pinchot Pass
Down to Bench Lake
Over Mather Pass to the Palisade Lakes-
Continued down to the Middle Fork of the Kings River , where I left the PCT.
Followed the Middle Fork of the King down to Simpson Meadow
Where I found this old cabin and camped nearby.
In order to get out of there I had to haul up 4000ft, eventually reaching Granite Pass after a night at Dougherty Meadow.
I spent the final night at Granite Lake,
The final day I hiked out to Cedar Grove. I had thought I would camp at one of the Tent Meadows,
but they weren't very interesting.
All in all, a good trip, eleven hiking days, ten nights, solo. Saw almost no one after leaving the PCT.
The complete trip photos can be found here. Included are the few days I spent in the Yosemite Valley before , and a trip to the Grant Grove of sequoias after.
