Re: Glacier Point->LYV->HI unused permit

Hey guys. I have a permit for 6 for GP-> LYV for this Saturday. We had a guy drop out so I won't be using one of the permits if anyone is interested in showing up and trying to snag it Saturday. Just thought I would pass it along.

Hopefully Glacier Pt. road (re)opens in time for your trip. I wouldn't entirely count on it though.

If GP road is closed, do you automatically get to do the Four Mile Trail to GP as an alternate start? Or do you compete with 4MT trail quota people? Never thought that one thru or talked to any permit folks about that...

Personally I wouldn't worry. I'd just go and I would think in such circumstances
they would either give you 4 Mile or give you HI to LYV. Your choice.
Is 4 Mile even an allowed TH "in season" ??? I think it's not. ??
Anywho. Yeah, HI to LYV is "full" but probably they will just allow GP to LYV to go HI.

I think they told me 4 mile would be the alternate but regardless, I am excited!!! Will post a TR when we get back.
