Recommended 3-night trip north of Tioga Rd?

Hi again,

With no permits reserved, we are looking for your recommendations for a nice loop June 9-11 or 12 (Tues to Friday). We plan to camp on Monday evening around Tuolomne Meadows per Chick-on's suggestion. We have one loop in mind and are wondering if there are others you would recommend. The loop in mind is to Glen Aulin-May Lake and up Mt. Hoffman and out, which is only 2 nights. Thanks!

You could extend the hiking a day or more by going out and back towards Ten Lakes/Tuolumne Peak.
option a, camp near Tuolumne Peak and bag it
option b, camp along the So Fork of Cathedral Creek
option c, go all the way to Ten Lakes

Both Tuolumne Peak and Hoffman have excellent views. Hoffman has a scramble up the summit block.

Or you could start at Ten Lakes Trail head and go in reverse to May Lake, Glen Aulin, and Tuolumne Mdws. Then you can return to the Ten Lakes TH via the Hikers Bus which is running daily, snow permitting (see http://www.yosemitepark.com/tuolumne-meadows-tour.aspx). If the Bus won't drop you at the Ten Lakes TH, you could start at White Wolf which is a regular stop and head to TM. Call the bus ahead and make sure your plan is good.

Note that there could be some snow along the trail which rises to ~9800 feet near Tuolumne Peak depending on the weather the next few weeks.
