Sunrise Creek likely to be still flowing first week of July?
June 16, 2015 06:00PM
Me and my 16yr old son will be hiking from Tenaya Lake to Clouds Rest & Half Dome and then into Yosemite valley (taking 4 days), starting July 4th. We're planning to camp a couple nights near Sunrise Creek where its close to the JMT, but I'm wondering if it will still be flowing enough to use as a water source. Anybody been there this past week can tell me how its looking there now?

I wouldn't worry. There are fish in the creek right there. You will be fine.
The recent storms have helped saturate the parched ground and you
can rest assured that there is water in Sunrise Creek now.

Chick-on is looking at you!
