Re: Sentinel Dome in Winta (a 3D Tree)

Hi. This is my TR and I'm sticking to it...

Found a snow / ice blasted tree on Sentinel Dome ... here it is in 3D ...


We hiked from Badger Pass ... xc to McGurk / Pohono... and up Sentinel Dome... xc to Washburn... out GP road.
Off road... snow was amazin... but we sunk upwards of 2 ft. ... so ... it's a slow a going...

Anywho.. in 2013 we didn't even need snowshooz... hehehe... not so this year! yippeee!

Awesome shots.. So nice to see the snow!!! We were stuck indoors in Colorado. High of 10 or 11 most days. Too much food, not enough exercise! Can't wait to get back out there!!!

Pro tip: there's a nice tree a bit farther up the dome that's great for drying out your socks on--although I can't imagine why they would get wet... :-)

pro tip: don't fall into the water
pro tip #2: be the one to fall in water (wife said she would head out immediately if it had been her)
pro tip #3: just keep moving...
