Drying Dri-Down? washing bag question
April 19, 2016 06:24PM
Hey Folks!

Had a question regarding these new DWR down coatings. I just had my bag "professionally" laundered by a local outfitter and found that the bag still had clumps in it. When asked, the store clerk claimed that DriDown was difficult to try and thats why I had clumps.... Any validity to this? Not very happy about their laundry service....Would normally do it myself but I hate waiting that long at a laundramat.

Instead of having it rewashed, I'm thinking about just throwing in a moist towel in the dryer with the sleeping bag with some tennis/sock balls.

Thanks!
Kevin

I suspect it really means they didn't take enough time drying it.

I'd go with the sleeping-bag-and-tennis-balls in the dryer, it takes time to completely dry down but you should expect it to be properly dry and not clumped.
