Love running into these.... found 3 big ones... and maybe the grand-daddy of them all!

Thought this was so big brought the wifey to it last year...


But then found this one about a month ago...


The lo n behold on our nations bird-day... maybe cupple hundred feets off the trail... yowza!

Last year, on the way to the Diving Board, I found a HUGE Sugar Pine at the edge of
Lost Lake. If it were in Nebraska, we'd have a 3 day celebration each year, people
would name their kids after it, and it would replace the block 'N' on the football helmets.


In Yosemite, it's just another tree.

Are they Giant Sequoias?

First I thought maybe they are Sierra (Western) Junipers, but they don't have the twisty bark, nor are they growing on rocks.

They are huge Junipers.

It was a play on wurds... w/r to Big Trees
