Crane Flat Snowshoe in mid May?
May 15, 2017 11:10AM
Hi all.

A few hikers and myself are planning on doing some hiking in Yosemite this coming weekend (May 19-21) and would like to snowshoe in the Crane Flate area. My only question is whether snow coverage is still adequate in the area to do so. If anyone has recently visited the area, some insight would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Jesse

It might well snow a few inches there tomorrow....

That whole area is under 7K' so don't count on much if any snow suitable for shoeing. You might have better luck off of Glacier Point Road.
