My party of three have a YNP BC permit for mid-August. My third choice trailhead is what out permit is for, and we are excited to have the opportunity to BP YNP once again. My question is this.....
I would prefer entering at another trailhead for this trip. Is it acceptable to try and obtain a walk-up permit (for the trailhead I would like) and if successful, cancel the one I currently have? Or is this even possible?
If I must cancel the permit I have prior to trying to obtain another, I'll keep the one I have and not take the chance of not getting one.
