It has become a tradition for my partners and I to do something in the Tuolumne Meadows area at the first possible opportunity after the road opens. Unfortunately the last few years have been all short front country walks instead of any long hikes or backpacking. This year, one is recovering from ankle surgery so we kept it easy.

First stop was Tenaya Lake for the annual outlet crossing.

Next stop was Olmsted Point. Funny how we were met by a marmot. He wasn't shy until he realized it was an iphone and not food my partner was getting out.

The obligatory shot down the canyon towards some big rocks.

For our next stop we went up Pothole Dome for a good view of Tuolumne Meadow Lake

Our last stop in the park was up at Tioga Pass. There may have been snowballs involved.

And finally my favorite, some deliciousness at Whoa Nellie Deli!!

Do what you love.
