Ursack?

Anyone here use this? We're going from Cottonwood Lakes to Whitney, and our food won't all fit in the bear can, so we were thinking about supplementing with an Usack for the first night or two.

When you say we, that means there is more than one of you? take a second bear can. That's what we do--and it makes you completely legal.

Check our our website: http://www.backpackthesierra.com/
Or just read a good mystery novel set in the Sierra; https://www.amazon.com/Danger-Falling-Rocks-Paul-Wagner/dp/0984884963

Rock Creek requires either using the bear boxes in the backcountry …. or your own.
So if only for first night and you are staying at Cottonwood and not going into Sequoia...
then you could use the Ursack… otherwise... no.
We use Ursack to supplement when allowed. Or in winter when a can not required.
But 99.9 take the Bearikade since we love the bears in the Sierra and want them wild.
