.Any recommendations for a quick overnight (12am - 6am) spot for dispersed camping before picking up the permits from Mono Basin Visitor Center. Going there this Friday and wondering whether anyone has recommendations for dispersed camping spots around Lee Vining or Sonora Pass. Ideally not too far beyond Mono Basin Visitor Center as I am coming from the bay area.
Also, how were mosquitos in last week or so in Yosemite or around? I was expecting no bugs but it looks unusually warm for this time of the year.
