Hi Everyone,

Is Yosemite Creek likely to run dry by the first week in August? I have North RIm permits, but have never been that late in the season. Thanks.

As of last weekend there's still snow in the headwaters of Yosemite Creek and the tributaries are still flowing. My guess is it'll still have some flow in August, but there could be dry stretches where it disappears under sand. You should be able to find water anywhere there are granite pool--such as upstream of the bridge above the falls.

Basilbop, Thanks for update. So even if the Yosemite Falls webcam appears dry, there would likely still be water?

There's fish in the creek here and there...

So yes, there's always some water in the creek.

How it is looking is perhaps another story.

And yes, there may be stretches where you don't see any.

Chick-on is looking at you!
