Not everyone is still continuing to shelter in place this summer.

After 3 weeks of post processing and html coding work, have completed adding 3 pages to my 2020_Trip Chronicles page at my web site. The new pages of 4, 5, 6 access my 6 day Convict Creek backpack, intervening 3 day road trip, and 4 day Rock Creek backpacks that were shot in late July through early August:

You’re joking? Right?

Since could go back on June 5 ... we have been out for 61 days and
50 nights and it has been anything but quiet.

Seen just as many people backpacking as in any other year.

I’ve heard non quota places have been slammed much harder
such as Emigrant. Have avoided those though so no first
hand experience this year.

Have fun

The fires... Castle and just now... Creek have smoked us
out and cut two trips a day or two shorter. sigh

Yes. At VVR/Lake Thomas Edison yesterday we saw many through-hikers who were continuing on despite the Creek Fire. While SOBO hikers were mainly facing smoke issues, those NOBO hikers were headed into some serious conditions. And didn't seem to be that concerned. As CALFIRE issued an evacuation order for VVR and everywhere east of Shaver Lake on Highway 168 and Kaiser Pass, we heard many hikers inquiring about the JMT and PCT--asking if the trails were open! And continuing to hike NOBO...
