Truckee River raft

anyone ever tube from Tahoe City to the River Ranch Lodge? http://www.riverranchlodge.com/home it's a really fun / slow / easy inner tube float you can do for free. simply bring your own car tire tube and float down the river.

i do it every year with friends and family... it usually takes about 2 1/2 hrs to float down... the cool thing is that it stops at an outdoor restaurant where you can eat at.

It IS a lot of fun AND it is a lot more quaint than the American River experience (before I took up Kayaking, I used to do a lot of tubing) My dad always had "connections", so we ended up with these really huge, commercial equipment tubes (that weighed a ton on land!)
