On Tuesday, the U.S. attorney's office in Sacramento announced the second-largest settlement ever in a forest fire case, saying that Pacific Gas and Electric Company will pay $14.75 million in damages stemming from the 1999 Pendola fire near Camptonville, in Yuba County.
