Even covered in snow, as it will be in a matter of weeks, Yosemite's world-renowned Yosemite Valley still has much to offer, especially to amateur and professional photographers.

Winter is becoming my favorite season.

The same majesty. A hushed silence/reverence fills the air - along with jack frost nipping at your ears and nose. An occasional CRACK from ice breaking loose and tumbling to the valley floor. Snow that carpets the meadows and covers the trees. The crunch, crunch of snow under your feet. The added exhilleration and sense of adventure on trails to Upper Yosemite Fall, Snow Creek, and whatever else is navigable. Midnight strolls in the Valley with the Milky Way dancing above you. Sharing the campground with just a few other hardy souls.

Aaah. Life is good. Can't wait. smiling smiley
