Yosemite Christmas Bird Count, Sunday December 20. Join tens of thousands of volunteers across the country to participate in the 110th Christmas Bird Count. To participate in this event and celebrate birds for a day, contact Yosemite Christmas Bird Count organizer, Sarah Stock, by email
sarah_stock@nps.gov or by phone 209-379-1435. Bring your binoculars, field guide, plenty of warm clothes, sturdy shoes, and $5 (for covering costs of publishing results). Plan to be outside all day, from dawn to dusk. The Annual Compilation Potluck Dinner will begin at 5:30pm in Yosemite Valley at the Girl's Club where you can join the rest of the group in sharing birding highlights of the day.
