I was visiting friends on Christmas day, and heard this mog saves dog story.
They have a miniature Yorkie, which weighs 2 1/2 pounds. Didn't catch her name, but "Snack" seems about right. They also have a medium-sized ginger tabby polydactyl cat named "Lobster". Might be due to the huge front feet, maybe because his coat color is Lobster Bisque.
The story. The dog was running around in the back yard when a red-tailed hawk swooped down & grabbed her. The bird took off, but the cat made a mighty leap & took down the bird, which dropped the dog.
After the blood was cleaned up all was well.
