This narrowly focused SEIS has been prepared to comply with two orders issued by the Eastern District Court of California on November 4, 2009. The District Court ordered two corrections to the 2004 SNFPA Final SEIS to address range of alternatives and analytical consistency issues identified by the Ninth Circuit Court in its decision on the preliminary injunction portion of the case. This SEIS supplements and tiers to the 2004 Final SEIS and the 2001 Final EIS for the Sierra Nevada Forest Plan Amendment. As a supplement, this SEIS addresses the same 11 Sierra Nevada national forests: the Modoc, Lassen, Plumas, Tahoe, Eldorado, Stanislaus, Sierra, Sequoia, Inyo National Forests; that portion of the Humboldt- Toiyabe National Forest that is in the Sierra Nevada, and the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit.
