Anyone ever hike around Saddlebag at night?
July 12, 2010 03:46PM
Taking my photographer g/f for her first time to 20 lakes, and she wants to be there before sunrise (photographers......), before the water taxi starts, which means hiking around the lake at night, and pitching somewhere near Greenstone Lake. I've only ever taken the water taxi, and haven't been there in a while, so I don't recall the nature of the trail.

Anyone?

Haven't hiked it in the dark but here's what the west side looks like when we were on it
a few years ago. I wouldn't worry too much about hiking it in the dark to Greenstone.
With some decent headlamps it should be fairly simple trek.

If this doesn't help... sorry...

With a good moon even the headlamps wouldn't be needed all that much.

It helps, thanks! I'm just hoping for a good moon.

And no bears.

You can easily know what kind of moon you'll have by checking the calendar.
