Fresno-Yosemite bus route proposed

A new bus system from Fresno to Yosemite National Park has been proposed by the Fresno Council of Governments. It includes information on economic feasibility and current transportation systems, such as the Yosemite Area Rural Transportation System, which run from Merced to Yosemite Valley. The council's policy board will vote at its meeting Thursday on whether to pursue funding for busing and will discuss stops along Highway 41. Proposed stops include the Fresno Greyhound and Amtrak stations, Fresno Yosemite International Airport, Fresno State, Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino, Oakhurst's Yosemite Visitors Center, Tenaya Lodge, Wawona Hotel, Badger Pass Ski Area and Yosemite Valley sites.

I think it would be a good thing to a have a reliable bus connection between the Fresno Yosemite International Airport and Yosemite Valley. It has the potential to make it a lot more convenient to get to Yosemite without having to rent a car for many park visitors.

That would be great. The only bus route I knew of was from Merced. With the CA budget though, I don't know if it is going to happen. Private investors might be the best option.
