Yosemite National Park Remains Open
Agreement Reached on Federal Budget Allows the Park to Stay Open
Yosemite National Park remains open and fully operational due to an
agreement reached on the federal budget late last evening. All national
park facilities, including campgrounds, and visitor centers, and all
concession facilities, including hotels and restaurants, are open and fully
operational. Visitors with reservations at park campgrounds and hotels
should proceed with their visits as planned.
“It is a spectacular day in Yosemite National Park with bright blue skies,
thundering waterfalls, and fresh snow on Yosemite Valley’s granite walls.
We couldn’t be happier that an agreement was reached on the federal budget
and we are able to continue to welcome visitors to Yosemite,” stated
Yosemite National Park Superintendent Don Neubacher.
Ice and snow remains on some of the park roads. Visitors are urged to
drive safely in and around Yosemite National Park. For 24-hour information
for roads within Yosemite National Park please call 209-372-0200.
