LOST CAMERA
June 09, 2011 01:22PM
On Thursday, May 26, I lost my camera in Yosemite. I lost it either on the path to Mirror Lake, at Degnan's Cafe, on the shuttle bus or at shuttle stop 13b. The camera is a Nikon Coolpix P100. It is in a generic black camera bag which also contains a battery charger, a cord for the battery charger and an extra memory card. The memory card in the camera has numerous photos in Kings Canyon, Sequoia and Yosemite (though the first two photographs are of sandhill cranes in Nebraska and the third is a Yellowstone photo display on a wall in our house). The Yosemite photos include a hike to the top of Yosemite Falls and onward to Yosemite Point, a hike to Wamapa Falls in Hetch Hetchy, photos at Camp Curry and throughout the park. The photos feature a white male and female, both about age 50 (that's us).

Anyone providing information leading to the return of the camera gets a $75 reward. Return of the memory card with photos will net a $25 reward. Return of both is a $100 reward. No questions asked. I am interested in return of the camera and memory card photos, not prosecution.

Any chance you lost some snowshoes too?

Hope that you get your camera back. I lost my memory cards after getting back from Glacier NP so I know the feeling.

Best of luck

Too bad they didn't list them on this forum.

i found a memory card on HD subdome once. It took me about a year, but I finally found the rightful owner. So, maybe you'll get lucky.
I assume you've tried "lost and found" in the valley. (I guess I also assume there is one ?)
