FRESNO, Calif. Tioga Pass through Yosemite National Park usually opens by Memorial Day - but not this year. Near-record snow and avalanche hazards have kept the pass closed through mid-June, and park officials aren't exactly sure when it will open. That means hordes of Yosemite tourists can't get to Lee Vining, Bridgeport and Mammoth Lakes. Business along the Eastern Sierra is off 60 percent this month, by most accounts.
