Twenty small earthquakes between magnitude 1.1 and 2.3 occurred in the Mammoth Lakes-Long Valley caldera region in the past week (since 6/24/2011). Seven of these were located beneath the western flank of Mammoth Mountain, five were located in the caldera about 2.5 miles north of the airport, seven in the Sierra Nevada south of town, and one near Round Valley.
