Received the following email regarding our upcoming camping trip in the valley. Second one in a few days. We've had reservations every summer for at least the last five years and the only other email we received was due to the wet conditions and mosquito activity at Tuolumne last June/July.

Using email notifications is a great way to keep campers informed! Same old information, but they are finally catching up with this thing called technology winking smiley

Important safety message: Bears active in Yosemite

Bears have become active once again in Yosemite. You can help bears stay healthy and wild by storing your food in the locker provided at each campsite. "Food" includes cans and bottles, drinks, toiletries, and ice chests. The lockers are 45 inches long, 18 inches high, and 33 inches deep. Please plan ahead to ensure all your food will fit. Improper food storage may result in impoundment of your food or car, a fine of up to $5000, and/or revocation of your camping permit.

Any questions? Visit www.nps.gov/yose or call (209) 372-8502. We hope you enjoy your stay in Yosemite!
