Mist trail to be closed...

Every Thursday from 7 am to Noon. From the park's Facebook page:

"The Mist Trail from Happy Isles to the top of Vernal Fall will be temporarily closed every Thursday from approximately 7 am to noon for search and recovery operations. Access to the top of Vernal Fall and beyond is available via the horse trail, which begins behind the Nature Center at Happy Isles."

I like the horse trail, walked it for the first time a week ago

We also descended via the horse trail the last time we came down. I found it a much more pleasant hike vs. the paved portion of the trail from HI to the Vernal Bridge.
