Effective Saturday, August 6, the YARTS schedule will be revised and expanded. Runs 2a and 3a in the morning and Runs 8a and 11a in the afternoon, will now be extended to Mariposa, originating there in the morning and traveling there in the afternoon/evening. With the extension of the two round trip runs daily, the schedule was also adjusted to spread the service available. Runs 1, 2 & 14 were not changed. Nearly every other departure time on the schedule was adjusted, so please confirm times on the Runs that are important to you.

The morning runs will leave Mid-town Mariposa on roughly an hourly basis; Run 2a - 7 AM, Run 3 - 7:57 AM, Run 3a - 9:00 AM, and Run 4 - 10:02 AM. Run 5 is scheduled at 11:47 AM. Departing in the afternoon, the buses will leave Yosemite Lodge every half hour, at 3:30 PM, 4:00 PM, 4:30 PM, 5:00 PM, 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM. Run 14 will depart at 8:35 PM as previous. All of the buses will maintain the regularly scheduled stops along the route and new schedules will be posted at all of the YARTS bus stops starting Thursday and will also be available on-line at http://www.yarts.com.

This did nothing at all to relieve congestion on the run to Amtrack. Park employees have been "asked" to get off the bus so that Amtrack riders can get on. YARTS knows that some runs, especially the Wednesday Amtrack run, are full; so what do they do? They send a smaller bus.
