Park rangers have completed the April 1 snow surveys. For the Tuolumne drainage the water content is 43% of average; for the Merced drainage the water content is 47% of average. Depths varied from 20 inches at Lake Vernon to 73 inches at Grace meadow.

It is horrible here, closest to my home. Rock Creek is 21%. That is close to where I get my water from and, no doubt, our tiny community will be fighting LADWP over it.

43%? Wow, I thought those two big snowstorms were able to prop it closer to 50%.
