The National Park Service (NPS) intends to issue a new Prospectus soliciting for proposals in response to a business opportunity to operate overnight accommodations, food and beverage, retail, and other services a Grant Grove and Cedar Grove within Kings Canyon National Park.

All offers must be received by the NPS no later than 4:00 p.m. (PT) on August 22, 2012, in order to be evaluated and considered for an award of a concession contract. The prospectus describes the business opportunity and includes the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the concession contract. Please send proposals to:

There is a printing cost recovery charge of $50 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $40 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash or credit cards accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service; and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package. Prospectus packages will be available by contacting Trystan Stern, Commercial Services Analyst, Pacific West Region. If you choose to retrieve a copy of the Prospectus from the NPS website please notify Trystan Stern, so you are placed on the mailing list to receive notifications of any future modifications or other correspondence.

A one-day site visit is scheduled for June 14, 2012. If you would like to participate in this site visit, you must RSVP to Trystan Stern for additional information regarding the time and location of the site visit and to reserve a spot.

Any questions regarding this business opportunity must be received in writing no later than June 28, 2012.
