Strengthening high pressure over central california will bring a
Return of triple digit heat today and sunday. High temperatures
In the san joaquin valley and the kern county desert will range
From 100 to 108 degrees while the hottest locations in the
Foothills will be near 103 degrees. High temperatures could even
Reach the mid to upper 90s in yosemite valley.

Persons planning time outdoors this weekend should practice heat
Safety tips. Keep your body hydrated with plenty of water...Wear
Light loose-fitting clothing and avoid strenuous activity...
Especially during the hottest part of the day. Keep in mind that
Pets need plenty of water and shade too.

Also remember that water temperatures in area rivers and streams
Are only in the 50s at this time of year. Even though a stream or
River looks cool and inviting on a hot afternoon...The coldness of
The water could produce hypothermia within minutes of exposure.
Boaters... Rafters and swimmers should use extra caution near
Rivers...Streams and reservoirs this weekend.
