Flying back home from a weeklong family vacation, here are several shots I took of the Yosemite region this morning from the air as the jetliner flew past the park:

Great shots. A lot more detail can be pulled from those files with Photoshop and Lightroom. If you like, send them to me and I can do it for you.

Indeed. Clark Range pops when you do that! Sweet

Excellent.

With it in 3D you can better make out the lakes.
Look closely and you should be able to see both Ottoway Lakes,
Edna, Breeze, and Upper Chain.
The lake furthest is front is 10425. A very pretty lake.

Very cool

A lot of people get turned off by 3D because some things don't take good advantage of the format. These kinds of things are great. They really show what the terrain is like and are very useful as 3D maps.

Great shots. I'm trying to spot landmarks to give an idea where these scenes are. So far I'm drawing a blank. Maybe you could help.

#3+ are all looking south
#3 - Look for Banner and Ritter
#4 - Foerster is on left, Harriet Lake, Lyell Fork, TP Fork... San Joaquin in the background
#5/6 - Clark Range from Gray Peak
#7 - Buena Vista Crest

I could be mistaken, but I think that's Glass Mountain southwest of Mono Lake with the Owens River Gorge further back in the upper righthand corner and city of Bishop (obstructed by dust/smog) in the distance. Crowley Lake would be to the right of the airplane window.
