...Unsettled weather to return to the central california
Interior...

The current storm system will continue moving over central
California through today. Light snow into the tehachapi
Mountains through early this afternoon.

Windy conditions are expected over the kern county mountains and
Desert regions today as the front moves through. Clear and calm
Conditions are expected over the san joaquin valley tonight with
Areas of frost possible late tonight and into wednesday morning.

Another storm system is expected to impact the area on thursday
Evening and continue into friday. This system is expected to move
Through the area and bring rain and high elevation snow. Unsettled
Weather will continue through the weekend with periods of rain and
Mountain snow.

Early sundaay morning above 5000 feet...

The national weather service in hanford has issued a winter storm
Watch above 5000 feet for heavy snow and strong winds...Which is
In effect from early friday morning through sunday morning for
The southern sierra nevada from yosemite to kings canyon.

* snow accumulations: 12 to 18 inches above 5000 feet and around 2 feet
Above 7000 feet.

* elevation: above 5000 feet.

* timing: periods of moderate to heavy snow beginning by early
Friday morning. The best chances for heavy snow will be friday
Evening through saturday evening.

* locations include: tuolumne meadows...Portions of highway 41
Into yosemite park...Huntington lake...Shaver lake...Wishon.

* winds: southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 65 mph over
The sierra crest with blowing and drifting snow.

* impacts: snow covered roads...Treacherous driving conditions.
Possible road closures.
