...Next winter storm to reach the central california interior
Thursday night...
The next pacific storm will reach the central california interior
Thursday afternoon...Bringing an unseasonably cold airmass to the
Region. The snow level thursday night will range from 3500 feet near
Yosemite national park to 4500 feet over the tehachapi mountains.
The snow level will fall to around 2500 feet across the southern
Sierra nevada and tehachapi mountains by friday night...With snow
Falling on the passes through the kern county mountains beginning
Friday and continuing through friday night. Snow will also fall well
Into the foothills of the southern sierra nevada...And mariposa and
Oakhurst could see light accumulations.
The storm will bring gusty winds to the kern county mountains and
Deserts friday and friday night...With gusts up to 55 mph
Possible...Especially through and below favored passes and canyons.
The cold...Unstable airmass also will bring a slight chance of
Thunderstorms to the central and southern san joaquin valley and the
Adjacent foothills friday. Brief heavy rain...Small hail...Gusty
Winds and possibly a funnel cloud could accompany any thunderstorms.
