The spring newsletter for the Sierra Nevada Network Inventory & Monitoring Program (SIEN) is now available at http://science.nature.nps.gov/im/units/sien/assets/docs/newsletters/SpringNewsletter0301_sien_20130520.pdf. This issue features: a collaborative wetlands mapping project between SIEN and Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, soils mapping underway and its benefits to the parks, returning bird monitoring crew members, chipmunk diversity and range shifts, and monitoring project updates.
