A large rattlesnake has taken up residence in the rocks above the play park in Rancheria Flat. The snake has also been seen down in the play park area. Wildlife Management staff is searching the play park and rocks several times a day, and will catch and relocate the snakes when the opportunity presents itself. Until then, use of the play park is discouraged, and users of the picnic pavilion should be vigilant. If you see the snake, please call Wildlife Management at 379-1437.
