Leaves are falling in Yosemite, but with calm weather we've had very good leaf retention and fall is everywhere at Yosemite now! Forester's picks for this week: Dogwoods at middle elevations of Big Oak Flat Road and Wawona Road (especially around Avalanche Creek) and west Yosemite Valley, cottonwoods in Yosemite Valley and El Portal.

Took these two last weekend around Merced Lake area. Really good looking color.

I've been up there twice in the past week to capture fall colors in the valley. The color is definately at it's peak but won't last too much longer.
