Reds Meadow Shuttle to Begin Operation June 14

Eastern Sierra Transit will begin the mandatory shuttle service into the Reds Meadow Valley and Devils Postpile National Monument on Saturday June 14, 2014. From June 14 through June 20, shuttle buses will leave the Mammoth Mountain Adventure Center every thirty minutes from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The last bus will leave Reds Meadow Resort at 5:45 p.m., Devils Postpile at 5:55 p.m., and Agnew Meadows at 6:05 p.m.

Beginning Saturday June 21, shuttle service will begin full summer operation. Buses will depart the Mammoth Mountain Adventure Center every 45 minutes from 7:30 a.m.-9:45 a.m., every 20 minutes from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and every 45 minutes from 4:45 p.m.-7:00 p.m. The last bus will depart Reds Meadow Resort at 7:45 p.m., Devils Postpile at 7:55 p.m., and Agnew Meadows at 8:05 p.m.

Shuttle bus tickets can be purchased at the Mammoth Mountain Adventure Center. Ticket prices are $7.00 for adult passengers and $4:00 for children. Children two years of age and under ride for free. Leashed and muzzled dogs are permitted on the Reds Meadow Shuttle.

Reds Meadow and Devils Postpile campgrounds are currently open. Other campgrounds in the Reds Meadow Valley are expected to open June 20, conditions permitting. Visitors camping in one of the campgrounds in the Reds Meadow Valley are exceptions to the shuttle bus.
