Including the cities of...Shaver lake...Yosemite valley...
Camp nelson...Giant forest...Johnsondale...Lodgepole
435 am pst fri feb 27 2015

...Winter weather advisory remains in effect from 4 pm this
Afternoon to 10 pm pst saturday above 4000 feet...

* hazard types...Accumulating snow at elevations above 4000 feet.

* snow accumulations...1 to 3 inches above 4000 feet. Locally 4 to
6 inches possible near the crest.

* timing...Snow developing by this afternoon and becoming more
Widespread tonight and saturday before tapering off saturday
Night.

* impacts...Visitors and outdoor enthusiasts to yosemite
National park...Sequoia and kings canyon national parks...
Devils postpile national monument as well as the sierra
National forest...Sequoia national forest and mountain home
State forest need to prepare for snow and much colder
Temperatures. Roads will become slick and icy.

* winds...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A winter weather advisory for snow means that periods of snow
Will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
Roads and limited visibilities...And use caution while driving.

An uncommon winter storm with snow levels low enough to excite as dawn rises, a sleepy photographer at Camp 4 inside their cold frozen tent to get up out of their warm down bag, pack up their gear quickly making a wet mess inside their vehicle, and hit the loop road to see the wonders.
