Yosemite continues to have periods of moderate smoke due to regional fires in the area. These times of smoky air conditions may continue this week, depending on weather and wind factors.
The Rough Fire is now over 67,000 acres with 25% containment. Lightning-caused managed fires within Yosemite continue to be monitored and managed by Yosemite fire crews and other resources. Smoke from the Middle Fire, Cathedral Fire and White Cascade Fire is occasionally visible from the Tioga Pass Road.
