Beginning Tuesday, September 15th and continuing through Thursday, September 17th, NPS contractors will be conducting cleanup of remediation activities at the former NPS fueling station in Tuolumne Meadows (located near the NPS stables and Tuolumne Ranger Station).
After more than 20 years of remediation and monitoring, the site has been granted a provisional "No Further Action" from the California Regional Water Quality Control Board pending abandonment of the groundwater monitoring wells and cleanup other remediation-related materials. Crews will be working in the meadow in front of the Tuolumne Ranger Station and near the stables from 7 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Thursday.
