At 1427 hours on 6/27/16 fire resources were paged for a report of smoke coming from the Wawona Wastewater Treatment Plant. Units arrived on scene at 1432 hours and confirmed the structure fire. At 1437 hours, the fire had spread to the wildland area. The structure fire was declared out at 1558 hours and at 2037 hours, the 1.5 acre wildland fire was 90% contained.
The fires are under investigation.
