El Portal Road (Hwy 140) within Yosemite National Park was reopened yesterday evening to at 7:00 pm to all vehicular traffic. The road closed due to a rockfall, which resulted in several large boulders falling and landing on the road. There were no injuries associated with the rockfall. Road crews in the park had been working throughout the day to blast the fallen rocks, clear debris, and ensure visitor safety in the rockfall area. Visitors are urged to use caution when driving through the rockfall area.
