SONORA, California – The Groveland Ranger District on the Stanislaus National Forest temporarily closed recreation sites today due to flooding during heavy rains. Forest staff will reassess conditions Feb. 10 after the rain event is scheduled to end to determine when the sites can reopen. Cherry Borrow and Spinning Wheel dispersed recreation sites, the Rainbow Pool day use recreation area and the Preston Falls Trail are closed to the public until conditions improve.
